AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS N1 DE MARCO DE CANAVESES is a school cluster with learners from kindergarten to upper secondary level. We have different types of schools: kindergartens, first cycle basic schools (four years of learning), second and third basic school (five years of learning) and secondary school with third cycle basic school learners (three years) and secondary school learners (three years). It is situated in a small urban centre and takes students from the surrounding rural areas and from the town centre. The school has widened the curriculum it offers to encourage youngsters and adults to continue in education, providing courses for adults who wish to widen their academic qualifications, contributing this way for the rise of the literacy rate in the area.
